How does it work?

Register with us: you only need to provide a user name of your choice, your phone number and email.

Select the session or package of sessions you require from our menu, then visit our calendar to book a time-slot when you can be at your computer and telephone.

Pay for your sessions in advance using a debit or credit card. You will receive a confirmation email giving you the 0845 (local rate) number to call at the time you arranged.

The email message will contain a web address, and at the time of your session you will connect to this secure site, and follow the instructions to allow the trainer to view your computer screen (see details below).

Your trainer will be dedicated to you for the duration of the session. At the end of the session you will close the connection so that the trainer cannot see your computer. The trainer will have no way to reconnect to your computer. If you have further training with Runawaymouse, you will go through the same connection process again.

Making the connection

When you click on the web link, a security notice will be displayed. You must click on Yes to proceed.

Enter your name when prompted. A Session ID will be displayed, followed by a link to start the Remote Support Tool. Click on the link, and at the download screen, click on Open. (This software will reside on your computer for the duration of the Runawaymouse session only).

A dialog box is displayed, prompting you for your session ID. Enter it and click on the Authenticate button. A "K10 Solutions" window is displayed, and the name you entered at the start should be listed.

When you contact the trainer they will ask you for the number which is displayed after your name, and ask you to double-click on your name.

A new icon will show in your system tray, and a message will tell you that a connection is being established. When the icon turns green the trainer can see your computer.

Nicholson Solutions Ltd would like to thank K10 Solutions for providing this secure connection method.
