To enable you to save bookmarks to web pages, save and print information from web pages, and download files from a web-site.

On completing this session you will be able to

• Save a web page in your Favourites list
• Organise your Favourites
• Save information from a web page
• Print information from a web page, ensuring all text is captured
• Download a file from the web

3 Internet security issues

Aims of this session

To gain an understanding of the issues of internet security and privacy, and how to deal with them using Internet Explorer and firewall.

On completing this session you will be able to

• Understand the purpose of firewalls and the reason for using them
• Understand how to use Internet Explorer to control what web-content can be displayed
• Understand the security issues to do with paying on-line
• Understand the use of cookies
• Protect your system from malicious software
